Bridge Opening 2017
During the floods on December 2017 the bridge over the river Wharfe in Tadcaster partially collapsed, this was a devastating time for the town as it tore the community in two.
After a long 13 months the bridge was finally reopened on the 3rd February 2017. On the 19th of February a day of celebration took place in Tadcaster, this entailed a blessing of the bridge by The Archbishop, Dr John Sentamu, medieval reenactment, Hog Roasts, Market, and Stalls.
Bromets opened our walled gardens and held our own stall with BBQ and refreshments. It was a great success and we made £65.59 which we have donated to Martin House (a local charity who provide family led care for children with life shortening conditions)
